Here's a tornado I spotted (first I've ever seen!) while holidaying in NSW Australia on 11 September 2006.
It was near Jerseyville and South West Rocks, close to the coast, about half-way between Sydney and Brisbane.
I think it probably originated as a water-spout over the sea which moved onto land. Watched it dissipate in about 15 minutes.
It occurred in a strong, squally, unstable southeast flow with heavy showers, and the odd thunderclap. The storm cloud generating the tornado is moving from left to right in the images (view looking south-southwest) - the tornado appears to be at the "back" of the storm cloud.
